Chemical Heat Treatment: This refers to a heat treatment process in which metal alloy workpieces are placed in an active medium at a specific temperature held there, allowing one more elements to diffuse into their surface layers to alter their chemical composition, microstructure, properties. The pit-type gas nitriding furnace features an energy-efficient furnace lining, a double-water-cooled furnace lid, vacuum rubber seals, a three-zone temperature control system (upper, middle, lower). These features significantly improve the furnace's thermal insulation, temperature uniformity, sealing integrity, nitriding rate. The outer shell of this series of pit-type gas nitriding furnaces is fabricated by welding steel plates structural steel sections. The furnace lining is constructed using ultra-lightweight, high-strength "Type 0.6" energy-saving refractory bricks, with a layer of aluminum silicate fiber insulation wool sandwiched between the lining the outer shell. The heating elements consist of high-temperature resistance ribbons wound into a V-shape mounted onto the refractory bricks of the furnace walls. The furnace is equipped with a stainless steel retort. The furnace lid features a dual-head stainless steel drip feeder used to introduce the nitriding medium, thereby ensuring a uniform temperature atmospheric distribution within the furnace chamber. The lid is also fitted with a sampling tube, an exhaust pipe, a decomposition rate analyzer. The interface between the retort the lid utilizes a water-cooled vacuum rubber seal is secured by clamping bolts. Waste gases generated within the furnace are expelled to the outside through the exhaust pipe.
